Head of Operations: (Wayne Stanley)

Wayne has recently completed a three year University degree in Emergency Disaster Management for which he received a BA Honours. Wayne intends to put his degree to good use by joining the UK Fire and Rescue Service. During his time at university he joined the Birmingham University Officer Training Corps BUOTC with which he spent two years learning new skills such as field craft and survival. Before University Wayne worked with Gloucestershire Police on the GVROP police scheme. Wayne always pushes himself to further improve his range of skills. He has just completed his Advanced Open Water PADI diver programme and aims to have completed his Rescue Diver qualification within the next few months. Wayne’s interests with the outdoors started at a very young age and ever since he has pursued an active lifestyle taking part in climbing, skiing, parachuting, diving and mountaineering. Through his work with the police and his university course he joined ReSART and for over three years with the team he has advanced his skills base completing the ReSART Urban Search and Rescue First Responder Course. He has recently taken on the role of Head of Operations. During his time in this post he hopes to advance the team and get the team out on active duty.
